The chalet’s traditional architecture is lightened by overturning the relationship between empty and full spaces; large windows define a contemporary image and allow a direct relationship with the surrounding environment and landscape. The architectural elements and the chalet’s typical materials (simple shapes, large gable roof, a broad use of wood and stone) are reinterpreted in order to get away from the idea of a fake-rustic building. The interiors are spacious and bright, and thanks to an extensive use of wood, they maintain the warm and friendly atmosphere typical of this housing typology.
