Rusalka Earrings. Lunar/ Fertility Amulets “Rusalka” was an appellation used by pagan Slavic peoples, who linked them with fertility and believed they came out of the water in the spring to transfer life-giving moisture to the fields and thus helped nurture the crops. Lunula is the ancient symbol of Moon and femininity and it appeared across various periods and various cultures all over Europe. This particular shape is inspired from the Slavic and Viking culture, and by the amulets worn by Slavic and Viking women. It was believed that female energy connects with Lunar Cycle and bring women fertility, good fortune, happiness and has apotropaic magic and protection. These pieces have been handcrafted by me of brass, please be aware that slight variations in shape and colour may occur.
