Adobe partnered with Impekable to create a Cookie Banner UI Kit due to the introduction of GDPR and the recent controversies regarding personal data and privacy. There have been important laws introduced like GDPR in 2018 that regulate
the way businesses handle the data privacy of users. As designers, we have a responsibility to our users to build and maintain their trust regarding the use of their personal information, as well as a responsibility to our clients to educate them about GDPR and the risks of noncompliance.
