wood and stone – two of the most important characteristics of a stove. In a very subtle way, here at the Ofenwerkstatt Müller, it was possible to combine these two materials in the form of a commercial building. It should therefore also represent the sustainable and technical aspects of the business. The skeleton of the hall is built in timber frame construction and further covered with fixed glazing and wood. An open concrete block masonry, resting on a concrete pedestal, gives the building a very airy, yet strong-looking dress, which positively supports the monolithic structure. The clever positioning of the new building also creates a beautiful courtyard situation for the existing building.
