Lake Pavilion

The pavilion is framed between the floor and the ceiling, the two structures cantilevered towards the water, emphasizing the horizontality of the construction and enlarging the views of the lake and the forest. The reflective surfaces reveal the surrounding vegetation during the day and become completely transparent at night. Each component of the pavilion is marked by precise details, from the clarity of the glazed exterior corners, to the expression of the floor and the ceiling as single continuous planes. All mechanical and plumbing services are concealed in custom joinery that forms a volume of pure wood that also serves to separate public and private spaces. Sustainability is a fundamental element in this design.
